Brooklyn Might Just be the Center of the Universe - Can Anyone Prove Me 'Dead Wrong?'
One team, one dream. What a town, what a team!
The Meal
In my previous substack, you read about Jed - the winner of the rare finals LeBron giveaway.
Turns out, his family steakhouse, DeStefano’s, is only a few minutes walk away from the mural I commissioned of my CryptoPunk.
I didn’t know where I was commissioning the mural. Somehow LORO MASNAH and @NFTranch made it happen in Brooklyn. It is part of their Street Punks project.
I recently had a chance to visit the mural in person for the first time.
Capped off by a brilliant steak dinner with Mrs. Space Cowboy & Jed.
The Game
The following Saturday night we found ourselves sitting courtside. We were wearing gold cowboy hats. It was Game 7 of the NBA’s Eastern Conference Semifinals - the Brooklyn Nets vs. the Milwaukee Bucks.
What’s up Top Shot, fam?!
Unreal sequence to send the game to OT.
Look, Mom! I made it.
Brooklyn may have came up short, but I sure didn’t. One of a kind experience that will last a lifetime.
One team, one dream. What a town, what a team!

Best comment, as chosen by Mrs. Space Cowboy, will receive one of the two Kevin Durant MGLEs that I pulled last week:
Thanks for reading. As always, hope you enjoyed. If you did, please consider subscribing or sharing this post.
P.S. No one will ever top this mural in Brooklyn.
I have no stories about Brooklyn as I have never had the pleasure of visiting. However I have had a game 7 like experience. It was in 2006, I was 17 years old and my grandfather took me to the Ohio State vs Michigan game. That particular year they were both undefeated and OSU was ranked #1 and Michigan was #2. This was before the big 10 had a conference championship game so the winner would be going to the nation's championship game. Still to this day the most memorable experience of my life. The Buckeyes won 42-39 and my 76 year old grandfather and my 17 year old self rushed the field and had a moment I'll remember forever. Here's to amazing sports experiences especially with one's you love. And one day my wife and I will make it to Brooklyn!
That has got to be one of the best playoff moments by none other by KD himself, a for the win shot in a game 7 that would have taken them to the conference finals and the chance to be champions. Besides that what got me more excited was the gold hat of TSF being there in that play and in that moment sharing the ecstatic experience to family and strangers alike. Just knowing a fellow topshotter I follow was at that moment made me feel good for TSF. It's been over a month since I've been on Topshot and I've experienced lows but the community is so much worth getting into this project. Sending love and good vibes from the Philippines!
